Each file holds the carrier authorities newly posted in FMCSA's public records, collected each morning: a grant FMCSA posts late appears in the file the morning we first see it. The records are reconciled and de-duplicated into one row per carrier, with a few flags we compute. Every column we derive — the verification result and every flag — describes the business under its USDOT number, never a person.
The data is not a guarantee. FMCSA's records can be late, incomplete or wrong, and a carrier's own filing can be out of date. We provide the file as it is.
We check email addresses with a verification service and nothing else. In the email_status column, valid means the mailbox accepted the address when our verifier checked it on the date shown in that email, invalid means our verifier found it undeliverable or unsafe to mail, unknown means it could not be confirmed, and blank means it was not checked. Phone numbers are not verified. No other column is verified.
We leave out rows whose legal name matches an officer's name, as a proxy for sole proprietors. It is a proxy: some individual owner-operators will still appear, and a listed phone may be the owner's personal cell. Treat any number as possibly personal and residential for calling and texting rules.
You use the data to prospect for your own business. You alone are responsible for complying with the laws that govern your outreach, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and FCC rules on calls and texts, the Telemarketing Sales Rule, the National Do Not Call Registry and state do-not-call rules, the CAN-SPAM Act, and state telemarketing, privacy and data-broker laws, and for any consent those laws require before you call, text or email a carrier.
We do not scrub the data against the National Do Not Call Registry or any state do-not-call list, and we make no representation that any number or address may lawfully be called, texted or emailed, or that anyone has consented to be contacted.
If we find you using the data in violation of telemarketing or anti-spam law, we end your subscription at once, with no refund for the current month.
You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the files for your company's own prospecting. You may share a file with people inside your company. You may not resell, sublicense, republish, redistribute or post a file or any substantial part of it, use it to build a competing data product, or provide it to anyone outside your company. A sample file is provided under these same terms.
Your subscription renews monthly at the price shown at checkout and is billed by our payment processor. Cancel any time: through the customer portal linked from your receipt, or by writing to [email protected]. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep receiving files to the end of the month you have paid for. There is no refund for the current month unless the law requires one. If the price changes, we tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you.
If you are listed in our files and want out, reply to any email from us, write to [email protected], or write to our postal address, with your USDOT number if you have it. We honor a request to stop as written. You are removed from every future file within 5 business days. Files already delivered to subscribers cannot be recalled.
We keep your email address to send you the file and to reach you about your subscription. Our payment processor handles payment and holds your card; we never see the full card number. Our emails carry no tracking. We do not sell your information and share it only with the services that deliver the product: our payment processor, our email delivery provider and our hosting provider. To stop and have your address removed from our records, write to [email protected].
THE FILES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR LOST-PROFIT DAMAGES.
We may change these terms. Subscribers get notice by email at least 14 days before a change takes effect. Continuing to receive files after that date means you accept the change.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute is heard in the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California.
